Biden just said we will not send any troops to the Ukraine but will defend NATO countries. That effectively means Ukraine is on its own and Putin can do to them what he will.
Not that I disagree with this since this is not our fight. But it really seems strange to hear this from Mr. 81,000,000 votes since he and his sycophants have been talking about how they would stand up to Putin and be so TOUGH! They were the adults and, unlike Trump, would stand up to Putin.
Well, Putin will get all he wants and then some. The sanctions will be an annoyance to Putin but they will break down quickly since Europe NEEDS Russian oil and natural gas so much.
Putin knows his people can take some short term hardships - they're Russians after all and anyone who lives there has to be tough. They'll outlast the Europeans who need Russia's resources without a problem.
Game, set, match.
Addendum - I don't see Putin going against NATO at all. He wants to rebuild the Russian Empire, not the USSR. Remember, the USSR (like Communist China today) wanted to subvert the ENTIRE world and bring it under Communist control. Putin isn't interested in that. He's playing an extremely aggressive game of geo-politics in his backyard but not with an eye to world domination.
How do I know this? Show me when ol' Vlad, or the folks around him, have stated or written about dominating the world like the old USSR leaders and their lackies did.
